Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakeem Ramsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hakeem Ramsey is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hakeem Ramsey!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kong gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kong tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ramsey just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ramsey tries to land knees in the clinch but Kong avoids the damage to the body.

Kong jumps guard and drags Ramsey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ramsey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ramsey is one step ahead there.
Kong is striking from the bottom but Ramsey uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Ramsey decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Ramsey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kong as he jumps to the side.
Kong tries to close the distance and clinch but Ramsey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ramsey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kong tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kong looks to move to half guard but instead Ramsey has passed into mount! Damn!

Ramsey is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kong can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ramsey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kong is looking for a sweep. Ramsey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ramsey stands up and beckons Kong to join him on the feet.
Ramsey looks to land a combination. Kong sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Ramsey shoots in and bounces Kong off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ramsey wants to control but Kong is keeping him busy.

Kong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramsey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ramsey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ramsey passes Kong's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramsey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kong bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Kong is working Ramsey over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
