Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aaron Brock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eric Kornlenko!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock is looking to clinch.
Brock fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice body punch from Brock.
Kornlenko connects with a crisp jab.
Kornlenko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Brock counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kornlenko looks to score with a jab to the body but Brock is just out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brock enables Kornlenko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brock manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kornlenko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Brock misses with a body kick.
Kornlenko pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Brock shoots in looking for a takedown but Kornlenko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kornlenko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Brock throws a head kick that misses.

Kornlenko scores with a takedown into Brock's guard.
Kornlenko postures up and lands a big shot to Brock's brow.
Kornlenko is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kornlenko stands up and waves to Brock to follow him.

Kornlenko stuffs the takedown.

Brock tries to keep at a distance but Kornlenko has taken the fight into the clinch.
Brock scores with a hook to the body.
Brock wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Brock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kornlenko is trying to break the clinch but Brock is controlling him.
Brock prevents the takedown attempt.
Kornlenko jumps guard but Brock stands there with Kornlenko around his waist. Kornlenko gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Brock just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kornlenko's brow.
Kornlenko tries to break the clinch but Brock is controlling the position.
Kornlenko wants to get back to striking at distance but Brock won't allow it.
Kornlenko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brock has him pressed against the cage.
Kornlenko is trying to break the clinch but Brock is controlling him.
Brock prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kornlenko is trying to break free.

Kornlenko on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kornlenko wants a takedown.

Brock missing with knees to the body.
Brock tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kornlenko smiles and moves away.

Brock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kornlenko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Brock trying to keep a closed guard but Kornlenko is proving a slippery customer.
Brock wants to sweep here but Kornlenko controlling him for the moment.

Kornlenko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kornlenko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kornlenko sitting in guard here, content to control.
Kornlenko passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kornlenko decides to stand back up. Kornlenko steps back and let's Brock get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brock punishes Kornlenko's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Brock getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Brock lands a hook that stumbles Kornlenko back into the cage. Brock follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Kornlenko to the canvas! Brock pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Kornlenko has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Aaron Brock!
