Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Alistar Bowverin has been cut.
Bowverin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Ortega rushes Bowverin and presses him up against the cage.
Bowverin is trying to break the clinch but Ortega has him pressed against the cage.
Bowverin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ortega.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ortega is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Bowverin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Ortega is looking to work some ground and pound but Bowverin has wrist control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alex Ortega wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ortega scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ortega jabs Bowverin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bowverin checks a leg kick nicely.
Ortega throws a series of punches but Bowverin avoids them all with ease.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bowverin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bowverin stuffs the takedown.

Ortega darts in and clinches Bowverin up against the cage.

Ortega uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bowverin.

Bowverin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ortega lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Ortega stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bowverin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ortega really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bowverin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bowverin pushes Ortega away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ortega gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Ortega has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bowverin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bowverin tries to get out of the position.

Ortega gets to his feet. Bowverin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fight stays on the outside here - Bowverin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bowverin lands a nice hook to Ortega's body. Ortega takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ortega lands a really nice looking cross but Bowverin seems unphased.
Ortega pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ortega circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ortega cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bowverin throws an overhand right that lands on Ortega's shoulder, as Ortega tries to avoid the shot.
Bowverin tries to clinch there but Ortega circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alistar Bowverin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bowverin misses with a looping right.
Alistar Bowverin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alex Ortega is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ortega throws the kick towards the body but Bowverin avoids it.

Alex Ortega comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ortega has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
