Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hakeem Alaju Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Child (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hakeem Alaju Dong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hakeem Alaju Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Child!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong misses with a takedown attempt - Child sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Dong gets caught flat footed, as Child shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Dong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Child is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dong.
Child wants to control but Dong is keeping him busy.

Child tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Child has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dong is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Child tries for a kimura but Dong is defending well.
Child is looking to take a break and control but Dong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dong wants to control but Child postures up.

Child working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Child should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Child looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dong is avoiding damage well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Child has his takedown stuffed

and Dong counters with a shoot takedown. Child fights it but they end up in guard.
Child trying to keep a closed guard but Dong is proving a slippery customer.
Child looks gassed!
Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Child swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dong pushes down on Child's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Dong is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dong is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Child defends it well.
Dong wants to pass to mount but Child is defending the position.
Child moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Child is looking for a triangle but Dong pushes his legs off easily.

Dong stands up and waves to Child to follow him.

Child shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Dong tries to hold on but Child postures up.
Dong working to try and regain half guard.
Child looking to control but Dong is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Child is trying to take his opponent's back.
Dong wants to control but Child is having none of it.
Dong tries to improve his position but instead Child has taken his back!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Child missing with punches from the back.
Dong breaks Child's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Dong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Child drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dong looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Child controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Child stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dong not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mike Child will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Child controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Dong looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Dong is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Child rolls with it to try and escape but Dong cranks on the arm and Child is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
