Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conchito El Guapo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Guapo comes to the cage accompanied by Bebot. The crowd seem to be enjoying Machado's choice of entrance music: Enter Sandman. Johan Machado will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Machado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. El Guapo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. El Guapo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

El Guapo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Machado has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, El Guapo has managed to get both his arms back between Machado's legs - danger averted.
El Guapo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Machado utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Machado is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Machado looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Machado is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
