PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Boomer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boomer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boomer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Boomer persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Boomer is trying to push Lee away but Lee has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lee misses with a punch to the body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boomer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lee is proving hard to escape from.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boomer holds on and takes a little breather.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Boomer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Noel Lee has been cut.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hunter Boomer will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hunter Boomer.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boomer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
