PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shepherd's choice of entrance music: Sandaless - Wojownik. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks drives through with a takedown into Shepherd's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Brooks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Shepherd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brooks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brooks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brooks tries to lock up and control but Shepherd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Brooks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shepherd on the ground.

Brooks is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Shepherd locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Brooks is forced to tap!
