The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolden shoots in and drives through. Penia sprawls well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Penia is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bolden asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Bolden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Penia tries to avoid it but Bolden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Penia to the ground. Penia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bolden slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Bolden shoots in looking for a takedown but Penia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bolden's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Penia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bolden is trying to defend but Penia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Penia postures up in Bolden's guard and throws a big left but Bolden blocks it.
Bolden is trying to control the position but Penia postures up.
