Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atlas Kivi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kivi has chosen Metallica - Ride the Lightning as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Machin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Atlas Kivi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machin looks for a takedown but Kivi sprawls well.
Kivi tries to close the distance and clinch but Machin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Machin circles away from the clinch attempt.

Kivi closes the distance and pushes Machin back into the cage.
Kivi content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kivi continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Machin prevents a body shot from Kivi.
Machin wants to get back to striking at distance but Kivi won't allow it.
Machin can't get the takedown.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kivi.
Kivi digs a right hand into Machin's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Machin's gas tank.
Machin is looking to control Kivi's arms but Kivi gets an underhook and turns him. Now Machin has his back to the cage.
Machin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kivi is defending well.

Machin jumps guard but Kivi stands there with Machin around his waist. Machin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Machin tries to score a body lock takedown but Kivi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machin is trying to drag Kivi to the mat but Kivi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Machin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kivi prevents it.
Kivi stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Kivi is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Machin goes for a takedown attempt but Kivi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Machin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kivi fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kivi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Machin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kivi swivels and escapes.

and Kivi counters with a slapping leg kick.

Atlas Kivi seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Atlas Kivi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Machin is trying to maintain a safe position but Kivi gets an underhook and turns Machin into the cage.

Machin gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Kivi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Machin is working away from the top position though.

Machin is staying active underneath Kivi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Machin wants to control but Kivi is keeping busy.
Kivi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kivi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Atlas Kivi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Atlas Kivi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kivi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
