Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jameson Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jameson Thunder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rickson Joaquin!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder misses with a wild body shot.
Joaquin throws a head kick that misses.
Joaquin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Thunder takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Joaquin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Thunder's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Joaquin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joaquin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Thunder wants to stand but Joaquin is controlling the position.
Joaquin trying to control the position from guard on top but Thunder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Thunder is trying to hold Joaquin in close to prevent damage but Joaquin has managed to pass into half guard.

Joaquin decides to return to a standing position.
Joaquin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thunder tries to avoid it but Joaquin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thunder to the ground. Thunder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thunder scores with a jab to the jaw.
Joaquin has a takedown stuffed.
Donk. Thunder catches Joaquin right on the button with a cross.
Thunder throws a right and a left that Joaquin avoids nicely.
Joaquin shoots in but Thunder avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jameson Thunder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Joaquin.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Joaquin avoids the head kick by Thunder.
Thunder lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Joaquin circles away quickly and effectively.
Thunder throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Thunder throws a head kick that misses.
Thunder slaps away a takedown attempt from Joaquin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Joaquin blocks a head kick by Thunder.

Joaquin has managed to clinch.
Joaquin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Joaquin tries for a takedown but Thunder manages to get underhooks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thunder escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Joaquin throws a head kick but Thunder moves out of range.
Jameson Thunder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Joaquin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Joaquin blocks a head kick by Thunder.
Thunder tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joaquin was well out of range. Poor timing from Thunder.
Rickson Joaquin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thunder wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thunder throws a jab but it's blocked by Joaquin.
Thunder thows a body shot but no joy.
Thunder scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Joaquin throws a leg kick but Thunder checks it.
Thunder pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Joaquin back to the cage. Thunder follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Joaquin is rocked!
Thunder misses the jab.
Thunder scores with a one two! Joaquin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Joaquin is still on wobbly legs! Can Thunder finish him?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thunder lands a nice hook to Joaquin's body. Joaquin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A punch combination from Thunder misses.
Thunder jabs Joaquin right on the nose. Joaquin blinks but takes it well.
Thunder lands a big right hook! Joaquin looks hurt but is still standing! Thunder lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Joaquin falls down and Thunder dives in with a huge hammer fist! Joaquin's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Thunder runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
