Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Uriah Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall's entrance music is Wake Up by Slapshock. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uriah Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henry Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan is looking to slow Hall down with leg kicks.
Hall walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.


It looks like Uriah Hall has been cut.
Hall throws a right and a left that Morgan avoids nicely.
Uriah Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A shot to the liver by Morgan. Beautiful body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hall tries to keep at a distance but Morgan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hall is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Morgan is defending well for now.

Morgan gets control of Hall's arms and successfully pulls guard. Morgan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hall stands and steps away. Morgan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hall throws a head kick that misses.
Hall misses with a head kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Morgan!
Hall is breathing heavily.
Hall closes the distance looking to clinch
and Morgan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Morgan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hall looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Morgan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Morgan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee asks Morgan politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Morgan prefers to stall for the moment though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Henry Morgan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Morgan gets a clinch.
Morgan keeps control of Hall as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hall is looking to break free of the clinch but Morgan has double underhooks.
Morgan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hall misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Morgan.

Morgan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Uriah Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Morgan tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hall misses with a combination
and Morgan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hall avoids the head kick by Morgan.

Morgan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Morgan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hall on his heels. He'll look to pass Hall's guard now, I'm sure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hall is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Uriah Hall.

Morgan clinches.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morgan on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hall using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Morgan has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hall tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Morgan avoids it.

Morgan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Morgan counters with a body kick that stops Hall in his tracks momentarily.
Morgan fails with a takedown attempt.

Hall with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Morgan gets control of Hall's arms and successfully pulls guard. Morgan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morgan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hall has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Morgan is proving hard to escape from.
Hall is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Morgan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan wants to improve his position but instead Hall has moved into half guard.

Hall is trying to stand up here but Morgan is controlling him well.

Henry Morgan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Hall has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Morgan.
Morgan misses with a takedown attempt - Hall sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Morgan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Morgan, into his guard.

Morgan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hall stands up over Morgan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Morgan wants to sweep here but Hall controlling him for the moment.
Hall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

I would just about give that final round to Henry Morgan.
Well Morgan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
