PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tong Po told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Po checks it well.
Nice sprawl there from Savage as Po shoots in.

Po clinches.

Po breaks the clinch.
Savage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tong Po seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savage looks to score with a jab to the body but Po is just out of range.

Po takes the fight into the clinch.
Po landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Po pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Savage misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Po.
Po lands a high kick!
Nice takedown defense from Savage. No joy for Po on that attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Po uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Savage.
Savage throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Po on the side of the head.

Savage gets caught napping as Po dives in and scores a takedown. Savage manages to retain guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
