Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ross tries to clinch up.
Kirilenko fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kirilenko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kirilenko wants to take a breather but Ross is having none of it.
Kirilenko prevents Ross from standing back up.
Kirilenko content to control rather than advance.
Ross is trying to stand up here but Kirilenko is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirilenko is trying to control. Ross wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mark Kirilenko.
Kirilenko throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kirilenko tries for a takedown but Ross sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ross moves in looking to clinch but Kirilenko pushes him off.
Kirilenko keeps the fight on the outside.
Ross wants to clinch up but Kirilenko keeps it at a distance.
Kirilenko avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kirilenko misses with a series of wild punches.
Kirilenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Ross swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ross is looking to score with low kicks.
Kirilenko stuffs the takedown.

Kirilenko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ross to the ground. Kirilenko is now in Ross's guard.
Ross wants to stand and escape but Kirilenko is having none of it.
Kirilenko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Ross wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kirilenko manages to pass to side control.
Well, if Kirilenko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kirilenko in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ross tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kirilenko!
