Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Beniamino Comando!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prousinoudis misses with a head kick.
Comando takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Beniamino Comando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Comando moves into range and clinches up with Prousinoudis.

Comando has clasped his hands together around Prousinoudis's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Prousinoudis is looking for a sweep.
Comando controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Comando decides to stand back up.
Comando stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Comando wants it to stay on the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Comando fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Prousinoudis, pushing him back against the cage.

Comando turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Prousinoudis wants to control but Comando postures up.
Prousinoudis tries to buck Comando off but Comando is having none of it.

Prousinoudis bucks up and tries to throw Comando off but instead Comando has got his back!
I really don't envy Prousinoudis right now.
Comando really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prousinoudis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Prousinoudis is working hard here to advance position.

Comando keeps control of the position easily here as Prousinoudis tries to buck him off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Comando looking to break Prousinoudis's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Prousinoudis remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Comando will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Oooh a big shot gets through from Comando. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Comando cracks Prousinoudis with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Prousinoudis from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Comando is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Prousinoudis is defending well though. Comando let's go of the attempt for now.
You can see the frustration on Prousinoudis's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Comando has good solid back control here.

Comando is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Comando really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Prousinoudis.
I really don't envy Prousinoudis right now.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Comando controlling the positon.
Prousinoudis is really stuck here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Prousinoudis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Comando's guard. Nice work there by Prousinoudis.

Horrible takedown by Comando or perhaps it was just good defense by Prousinoudis which made him look bad.

Prousinoudis is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Comando gets his way!

and Prousinoudis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Comando is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Prousinoudis gets caught flat footed, as Comando shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Comando avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Comando must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Comando stays in close to Prousinoudis's body and controls the position.
Comando's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Comando prevents Prousinoudis from getting back to his feet.
Comando is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

I would just about give that final round to Beniamino Comando.
