PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Guku Broily (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Henrai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Broily comes to the ring accompanied by Eminem - Above The Law. Henrai is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Guns of Brixton. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broily swats away the attempt to clinch by Henrai.
Owen Henrai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Broily counters with a good, hard body kick but Henrai shrugs it off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Henrai looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and whilst Henrai still has his hands down, Broily counters with a perfectly aimed head kick that sends Henrai crashing to the mat! Will he recover? 3,4,5,6,7 - he's back up! The referee looks into his eyes and asks him to walk forwards. He's going to allow this one to continue but will Henrai be able to survive another onslaught?

Broily clinches up with Henrai and pushes him back against the ropes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Broily on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Henrai should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Henrai tries to land a front kick but Broily steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Broily closes the distance and clinches.

Henrai has had enough of the clinch but Broily keeps him there for the moment.
Broily lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Broily fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Henrai, pushing him back against the ropes.

Broily escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Henrai takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Broily's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Broily swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Broily works Henrai's body with a nice hook.
Henrai blocks a head kick by Broily.

Broily drives through and clinches with Henrai against the ropes.
Broily lands a good knee to the midsection. Henrai won't want to take too many of those.
Come on Broily - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Broily comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Broily pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Broily scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Henrai to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Guku Broily takes that one as he scored multiple knockdowns. Owen Henrai was lucky to get out of the first round.

That's time! Broily's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Broily throws a switch kick that catches Henrai on the top of the head and drops him to the canvas! Henrai looks hurt - I'm not sure he's going to get back up! The referee starts the count but calls it off at seven as Henrai flops around on the canvas, clearly in no position to continue! This fight is over!
