The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders tries to keep at a distance but Nikolaev has taken the fight into the clinch.
Nikolaev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nikolaev closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sanders did well to prevent Nikolaev getting side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nikolaev prevents Sanders from standing back up.
Nikolaev is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sanders is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
