The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Alcaraz.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Alcaraz grinds an elbow into Davidson's temple.
Alcaraz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
You can see the frustration on Davidson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Davidson sneaks back into half guard.

Davidson has hold of Alcaraz's hands but Alcaraz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Alcaraz is looking to pass Davidson's guard but actually Davidson recovers to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alcaraz lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Davidson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Davidson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alcaraz's guard.
Alcaraz wants to sweep here but Davidson controlling him for the moment.
Davidson wanted to stand there but Alcaraz had control of the position.

Alcaraz has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Davidson has passed into side control.

Davidson stands up and we're back to a striking position.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Alcaraz shoots in looking for a takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl out of it but Alcaraz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davidson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Davidson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alcaraz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Alcaraz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davidson swivels and escapes.

Davidson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Alcaraz connects with a decent elbow.

Alcaraz cracks Davidson with a big right hand but Davidson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Alcaraz lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Alcaraz looks up at the clock and then as Davidson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alcaraz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Davidson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Alcaraz cracks Davidson with a big elbow.
Davidson tries to improve position but can't.
Davidson looks winded!
Davidson isn't going anywhere.
Alcaraz working away.

Alcaraz scoring with punches and elbows.
A big shot lands for Alcaraz! That's hurt Davidson! Will he recover? Alcaraz fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
