He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Eric Morris could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cesar James's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cesar James!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris misses with a takedown attempt - James sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Morris takes a swing at James's ribcage but misses.
Morris shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense.
Morris tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Morris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Morris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
James keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
James takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Cesar James has been cut.
Morris walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James is in a horrible position here. Morris smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if James can do anything to dispel that myth.

Morris looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

James is squirming around, avoiding Morris's attempts to control the action.

James is trying desperately to improve position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James throws a nice looking combination but Morris bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Morris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
James takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

and James counters with a left and a right that stings Morris.
Morris looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Morris persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing.

Morris with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling James to score with a decent uppercut.

Morris steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from James. That one must have hurt.

James clobbers Morris with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Morris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but James paws at him with a jab and circles away.

James lands with a short shot to the head.

Cesar James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think James has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
