PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Lobo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominik Cyran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cyran shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lobo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cyran keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lobo's head.
Cyran slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cyran has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dominik Cyran was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Cyran shoots in looking for a takedown. Lobo tries to sprawl out of it but Cyran keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lobo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dominik Cyran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lobo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Cyran closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lobo to the mat! Lobo manages to get full guard.

Cyran stops Lobo from standing up.
Cyran not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Cyran's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cyran's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Master Lobo will probably get the nod.

Lobo is looking to get back to his feet here but Cyran is keeping cool and he's managed to take Lobo's back.

Cyran drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Lobo is in real trouble here! Cyran lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Cyran is delighted!
