The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blockson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blockson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Vengrio moves out of range of the body kick from Blockson.
Vengrio pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Blockson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Blockson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Vengrio.
Vengrio misses with a hook. Blockson ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circling - Blockson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Blockson lands a nice looking body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blockson closes the distance and clinches.

Vengrio tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Blockson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vengrio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blockson.

Vengrio lands a high kick to the side of Blockson's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Vengrio dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Nisse Blockson has been cut.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Blockson throws the left hand but Vengrio avoids the punch easily.

and Blockson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Vengrio thinking.
Blockson feints and then cracks Vengrio's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vengrio down.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Vengrio lands a nice shot that snaps Blockson's head back.
Blockson lands a body shot.
Blockson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Blockson just misses with a punch to the body.

Blockson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Vengrio takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Arthur Vengrio has been cut.
Blockson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vengrio has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Vengrio steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blockson.
Vengrio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A jab from Vengrio does it's job there.

and Blockson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vengrio's knee momentarily.
Blockson looks to score with a jab to the body but Vengrio is just out of range.
Blockson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A combination from Vengrio does no damage.
Blockson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Vengrio looks winded!
Blockson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Vengrio misses with a kick to the body.
Vengrio lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blockson circles away quickly and effectively.
Vengrio shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Arthur Vengrio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vengrio tries to bum rush Blockson with a series of wild strikes but Blockson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Blockson lands a nice looking body kick.

Blockson lands a big uppercut and Vengrio crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Vengrio looks OK. Blockson waves Vengrio back to his feet!

Blockson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Vengrio is still on wobbly legs! Can Blockson finish him?

Blockson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Blockson lands with a nice body punch.
Vengrio seems to have recovered his senses.

Blockson digs a good hook to Vengrio's body.
Blockson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vengrio doesn't seem bothered though.
Blockson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Blockson scoring well with a low kick there.

Blockson drops Vengrio with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Vengrio looks back up at him and smiles so Blockson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Blockson fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Vengrio out cold! Brutal finish!
