The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami swats away the attempt to clinch by St Pierre.
St Pierre tries to close the distance and clinch up but Okami swats him away and circles back towards the center.
St Pierre tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Okami counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps St Pierre thinking.
Georges St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - St Pierre looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
St Pierre doesn't manage to clinch there - Okami circles away.
St Pierre rushes Okami and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Okami is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. St Pierre can't fight it off and eventually Okami manages to take the fight to the floor. St Pierre looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Okami controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
St Pierre is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Okami is aware though and is defending well.

St Pierre is looking for a triangle but Okami pushes his legs off easily.
Okami missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Okami trying to control the position from guard on top but St Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Okami loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
St Pierre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Okami gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
St Pierre is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Okami rolls with it to try and escape but St Pierre cranks on the arm and Okami is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
