Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hisae Mutsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toito Telokito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toito Telokito!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutsu misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Telokito counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mutsu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Telokito is out of range.
Mutsu throws a sloppy body shot
and Telokito cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A low kick from Mutsu misses
and Telokito connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Telokito takes one to the chin there.
Mutsu swings away with a body shot that misses
and Telokito cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mutsu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Telokito ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Telokito counters by moving into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Telokito is trying to break free.

Mutsu tries to throw a body punch but Telokito avoids it by throwing Mutsu back against the cage.

Telokito breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Telokito throwing strikes from guard but Mutsu blocks nicely.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mutsu is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Telokito is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mutsu is controlling him.

Telokito slips under a jab from Mutsu.

Mutsu throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Telokito counters with a nice uppercut.
Mutsu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Telokito is out of range and Mutsu settles back down.
Mutsu moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Telokito ducks under a wild hook from Mutsu.
Mutsu moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mutsu is breathing heavily.
Mutsu misses with a low kick.
Hisae Mutsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mutsu scores with the left hand. Telokito knows he should have avoided that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Telokito tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mutsu throws a low kick but Telokito moves out of range easily.

Telokito feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hisae Mutsu will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Telokito lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mutsu throws a looping overhand right but Telokito ducks down to avoid it.
Telokito tries to clinch but Mutsu is having none of it.
Telokito ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mutsu takes a swing at Telokito's ribcage but misses.
Mutsu scores with a jab to the body.
Telokito needs to keep his hands up - Mutsu had a free shot at his head there.
Mutsu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mutsu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Telokito.

Telokito gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mutsu counters with a nice uppercut.

Mutsu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Telokito has time to react.
Telokito drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Telokito takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mutsu missing with a left hand there. Telokito was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Telokito wants to clinch.

Hisae Mutsu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mutsu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Telokito fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mutsu.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mutsu, as that shot connected.

Telokito blocks an uppercut.
Mutsu is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Telokito is trying to force a seperation but Mutsu has the dominant position.

Telokito breaks the clinch.
Mutsu jabs Telokito right on the nose. Telokito blinks but takes it well.

Telokito closes the distance and pushes Mutsu back into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Telokito's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mutsu misses with the head strike.

Telokito breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mutsu misses with a looping right.
Telokito lands with a slapping head kick.

Mutsu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Telokito was well out of range. Poor timing from Mutsu.

Telokito walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mutsu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Telokito looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mutsu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mutsu throws the left hand but Telokito avoids the punch easily.
Telokito throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mutsu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Telokito shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hisae Mutsu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toito Telokito.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Mutsu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Telokito stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Telokito counters with a low kick, right behind Mutsu 's knee.
Telokito shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mutsu defends it nicely.

Telokito takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mutsu lands a glancing blow to the side of Telokito's head.
Mutsu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mutsu shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mutsu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Telokito fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hisae Mutsu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toito Telokito.

Mutsu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Telokito on the side of the head.
Mutsu looks to score with a jab to the body but Telokito is just out of range.
Telokito shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mutsu pinned against the cage. Mutsu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Some bone on bone action there as Telokito checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hisae Mutsu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Mutsu throws a hook to the side of Telokito's head but Telokito sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mutsu bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Telokito has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hisae Mutsu showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mutsu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
