The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akhilleus moves out of range as St Pearce strikes.
St Pearce throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Akhilleus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by St Pearce.
Akhilleus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
St Pearce misses with a hook to the body
and Akhilleus counters with a big head kick but St Pearce shrugs it off.
St Pearce misses with a straight right.
Akhilleus tries a head kick but it misses.
St Pearce throws out a leg kick but Akhilleus moves out of range and St Pearce only half commits.
St Pearce goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
St Pearce takes a head kick and keeps coming.
St Pearce takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
St Pearce missing with a left hand there. Akhilleus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

St Pearce closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
St Pearce working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Akhilleus is trying to stand up here but St Pearce is controlling him well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. St Pearce connects with a nice short shot to Akhilleus's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. St Pearce lands a nice short elbow.

Akhilleus is rocked!
St Pearce is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Akhilleus is hurt! He's hurt bad - St Pearce fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Akhilleus from any more punishment! Congratulations to St Pearce! Great finish!
