The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Slessor.
Dunn shoots in for a double leg but Slessor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dunn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slessor but Slessor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dunn is defended easily by Slessor.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Dunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Slessor darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Slessor lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Slessor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dunn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
