The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Price with that takedown attempt.
Price closes the distance and clinches up with McCann, looking for a takedown. Price pushes McCann against the ropes but McCann circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McCann looks to land a left hand but Price moved out of range nicely.
McCann misses with a hook.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Price enables McCann to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Price manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McCann lands a couple of decent looking shots.
McCann throws a big elbow that misses.

Price has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McCann can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
McCann should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
McCann throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
McCann is working Price over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCann throws a strike but Price rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McCann keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully.

McCann looking for a guillotine here but Price defends easily.
McCann is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

McCann working for submissions but it's allowed Price to get to half guard.
McCann tries to kick Price off but Price keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Price is keen to just control but McCann is a slippery customer.

Price is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McCann doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Price.

Price looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McCann is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Price pulls his head out easily.

McCann is trying to stand.

Price content to control rather than advance.
McCann tries to get to full guard but Price has control of the leg.

Price has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can McCann defend it? Price steps over the head and cranks it - McCann is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Price!

After the fight, Wesley Price was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
