Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jones instigates a clinch.
Boyka jumps guard.
Boyka wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Boyka pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
Jones won't allow Boyka to get back to his feet.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Boyka is keeping the position.
Boyka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Yuri Boyka just wasn't active enough.
Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boyka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jones stands up over Boyka, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boyka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Boyka's legs - danger averted.

A frustrated look appears on Boyka's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boyka smiles and moves away.

Yuri Boyka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Jones.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jones slips a nice elbow through Boyka's hands, connecting with Boyka's forehead.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Boyka's temple.

John Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
