The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messer connects with a solid leg kick.
Messer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bourbon Conde fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ludwik Bourbon Conde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Messer clobbers Bourbon Conde with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Ludwik Bourbon Conde has been cut.
Messer gets a clinch.

Messer's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bourbon Conde shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Messer pinned against the cage. Messer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bourbon Conde is breathing heavily.
Bourbon Conde fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ludwik Bourbon Conde. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Messer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Messer has Bourbon Conde pressed against the cage. He pushes Bourbon Conde back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Messer throws a beautiful elbow that sends Bourbon Conde crashing to the floor! Messer piles on the pressure with more strikes! Bourbon Conde is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Kurt Messer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
