Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harry Trotter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Floyd Patterson!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trotter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Patterson.

Trotter shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Trotter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Patterson's head.
Trotter with the ground and pound but Patterson uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Patterson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Trotter is one step ahead there.
Trotter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Patterson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Trotter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Patterson keeping moving, preventing Trotter from controlling successfully.
Patterson trying to strike off his back.

Patterson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Patterson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Patterson keeps trying to improve his position.
Trotter makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Trotter wants to control from the top but Patterson keeps moving.

Patterson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Trotter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Patterson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Trotter with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patterson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Trotter postures up in Patterson's guard and throws a big left but Patterson blocks it.

Patterson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Patterson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Trotter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Patterson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Trotter, into his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Patterson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Trotter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Patterson lands a couple of elbows.

Trotter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Trotter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Patterson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Trotter controls Patterson momentarily but Patterson frees himself.

Trotter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Patterson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Patterson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trotter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Patterson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Patterson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Trotter looking for a sweep. Not yet Trotter, not yet.

Trotter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Patterson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Patterson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Patterson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Trotter is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Patterson frees his head nicely. Oh but Trotter has switched to an armbar! Patterson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
