Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seth Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bray Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seth Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bray Wyatt!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Shaw.
Shaw scores with a shot to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shaw swings wildly with an uppercut but Wyatt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wyatt tries to pull guard but Shaw won't allow it.
Wyatt lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Wyatt looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Shaw tries to land knees in the clinch but Wyatt avoids the damage to the body.
Shaw tries to throw a body punch but Wyatt avoids it by throwing Shaw back against the cage.
Wyatt is working for takedown but Shaw is calmly controlling the position for now.
Shaw prevents a takedown attempt there.
Seth Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bray Wyatt.
Wyatt takes a knee to the side of the body.

Wyatt manages to pull guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Shaw engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Wyatt is trying to control the position but Shaw postures up.
Shaw pushes down on Wyatt's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Wyatt is doing well to control the position and prevent Shaw from advancing to side control.
Shaw prevents Wyatt from improving his position.
Wyatt is trying to maintain the position but Shaw is very close to passing his half guard.
Wyatt wants to get back to his feet.

Wyatt actively working from the bottom here.
Wyatt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shaw is working away from the top position though.
Shaw is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Shaw tries to clinch up but Wyatt circles away and keeps his distance.
Wyatt tries to close the distance and clinch but Shaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shaw cracks Wyatt with a good jab.
Seth Shaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shaw defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wyatt.
Wyatt walks into a jab.

Shaw closes the distance and clinches.
Shaw crunches a lovely knee into Wyatt's ribcage.
Shaw throws a knee to the head but misses.
Shaw working aggressively here.
Wyatt effectively controlling the action here.
Shaw lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Shaw lands with a right to the head.
Wyatt blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Wyatt looking to stall.
Wyatt lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Wyatt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wyatt fails to land the takedown.
Wyatt on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Wyatt gets cracked there but stands up to it.


Wyatt is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shaw dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wyatt is still on wobbly legs! Can Shaw finish him?

Shaw has managed to clinch.
Shaw has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Wyatt - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Shaw, and another! Wyatt is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Seth Shaw!
A relieved looking Seth Shaw thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
