Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Monster Bate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jace Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has chosen Battle Hymn as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Monster Bate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jace Nelson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bate stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bate wants it to stay on the feet.
Good work by Nelson as he checks the leg kick.
Nelson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Nelson misses the shot to the body.
Bate throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice defenses there by Bate.
Bate throws out a powerful jab.
Bate jabs Nelson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nelson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bate throws a nice looking combination but Nelson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nelson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nelson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nelson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bate manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bate lands a jab to Nelson's midsection.
Bate circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bate motions for Nelson to come forward. Bate throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bate pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Monster Bate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson misses with a takedown
and Bate connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sloppy strikes from Bate. Those never looked like landing.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Nelson checks a leg kick.

Nelson closes the distance and clinches up with Bate, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes Bate against the cage but Bate circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Monster Bate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jace Nelson.
Nelson blocks the body kick.
Bate cracks Nelson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Bate slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nelson checks the leg kick.

Bate changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nelson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bate slaps away a takedown attempt from Nelson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Good exchange - Bate coming out on top.
Bate digs a good body shot into Nelson's ribs.
Bate is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nelson tries a head kick but it misses.
Nelson closes the distance and clinches up with Bate, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes Bate against the cage but Bate circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bate throws a right hand that Nelson ducks under and follows up with a left that Nelson also avoids with ease.
Bate lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A cross from Bate lands.
Nelson moves away from the strike by Bate.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nelson with a poor takedown
and Nelson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nelson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bate counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nelson thinking.
Bate leaves Nelson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bate scores with a nice right hand.
Bate stuffs the takedown attempt from Nelson. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Bate.
Bate lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nelson backs up against the cage.
Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Bate tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bate manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nelson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bate moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nelson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Bate is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Nelson.
Nelson misses with a takedown
and Bate counters with a stiff right hand.
Nelson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bate ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nelson moves away.
Bate bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nelson's head backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bate throws a shot to the body.
Bate throws a body punch but Nelson moves out of range.
Bate will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monster Bate dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bate keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nelson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nelson misses with a takedown
and Bate counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bate thuds a left hand into Nelson's body.
A left lands for Bate.
Nelson fails with the takedown.
Monster Bate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jace Nelson.
Nelson walks into a left hand.


Nelson is rocked!
Bate throws an overhand right that drops Nelson like a sack of potatoes! Bate dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Monster Bate!
