Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Emery!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emery waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Davies.
Davies fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Davies drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Davies drops back, looking for a kneebar! Emery looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Emery looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Emery!
Emery creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Davies managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Emery.
Emery landing a few strikes.
Emery wants to stand but Davies has his arm trapped.
Davies tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Emery wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Emery has knee on belly and moves into mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Emery is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Davies can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Davies is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Emery tries to control but Davies wriggling away.

Emery blocks Davies's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Davies flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Davies has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Emery lands a nice shot to the head.
Davies manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Davies is looking for a sweep. Emery is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davies is pressing down on Emery's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Emery throws a big elbow that misses.

Davies is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Emery defends well.
Davies is breathing heavily.

Emery stands up from Davies's guard - Emery perhaps looking for a knockout.
Emery throws a combination that misses
and Davies counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Emery tries to sprawl but Davies drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Davies is working for a submission of some sort.
Emery is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Emery trying to hold on to Davies's head to control him but Davies postures up.
Davies throwing shots but Emery is blocking nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stephen Emery was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Emery tries to bum rush Davies with a series of wild strikes but Davies uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Emery pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Davies fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Emery has managed to clinch.

Emery escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emery lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davies circles away quickly and effectively.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davies.

and Davies counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Emery wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Emery escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emery tries a low kick but Davies avoids it.
Davies misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Emery throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Davies will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Emery throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Emery fails to land with a series of punches.
Stephen Emery seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emery throws a looping overhand right but Davies ducks down to avoid it.
Emery walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Davies checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Davies closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Davies lands in his opponent's guard.
Emery is breathing heavily.
Davies won't allow Emery to get back to his feet.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Harry Davies has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Davies shoots in but Emery avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Davies counters with a single leg into guard. Emery didn't expect that.

Davies throws a strike but Emery rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Emery gets to his feet. Davies looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Davies decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Emery, up you get!
Davies shoots in for a takedown but Emery shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Emery throws a shot from downtown. Davies moves away and avoids it.
Emery fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Emery gets caught napping as Davies dives in and scores a takedown. Emery manages to retain guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davies wants to control from the top but Emery keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Davies stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Emery swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Davies dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Emery throws an off balance right hand

and Davies counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Emery utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Emery looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stephen Emery wasn't active enough on the ground.
Davies shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Emery as he avoids it easily.
Emery throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davies.
Davies shoots in for a double leg but Emery sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Emery misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Emery takes the fight into the clinch.
Emery takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Emery gets underhooks to prevent Davies's takedown attempt.

Emery lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Davies tries for a takedown but Emery manages to get underhooks.
Emery is trying to push Davies away but Davies has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Emery looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Emery wants to break free but Davies has control.

Emery cracks Davies with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Davies shoots for a double leg takedown but Emery sprawls well. He's pushed Davies's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Emery lands a jab to the nose.

Davies feints and as Emery raises his hands in defense, Davies changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davies throws a big elbow that misses.
Emery wants to stand and escape but Davies is having none of it.
Emery looking to control.

Stephen Emery has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Davies closes the distance and clinches up with Emery, looking for a takedown. Davies pushes Emery against the cage but Emery circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Davies goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Emery rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Davies's guard! Nice work there by Emery!
Emery postures up and lands a big shot to Davies's brow.

Davies had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Emery defends it easily.
Emery throws an elbow that misses. Davies uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Emery's guard. Nice move by Davies!
Davies has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Emery is proving hard to escape from.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Emery is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davies not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Harry Davies.
Davies changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Emery tries to avoid it but Davies manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Emery to the ground. Emery escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Harry Davies showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Davies has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
