Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Athan Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Namiska Button (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamatis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lose Yourself. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Namiska Button was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamatis clobbers Button with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Button jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Button swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Button drops Stamatis with a left right combo! Button follows him down to the ground into side control.

Stamatis is rocked!

It looks like Athan Stamatis has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Button looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Button throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Button is trying to get an arm triangle but Stamatis is defending well.

Button wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stamatis, who protects the arm well.

Button tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Button has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Stamatis is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stamatis is pressing down on Button 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Button trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Button is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stamatis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stamatis has escaped and now he's on top!

Button working for a triangle but Stamatis defends it easily.
Stamatis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Button swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Button wants to sweep here but Stamatis controlling him for the moment.

Stamatis is sitting in close to Button 's body. Button has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Stamatis is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Stamatis is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Button .

Namiska Button was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
