Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Riordan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riordan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Harrington's head backwards.
Harrington tries to clinch but Riordan is having none of it.
Harrington fails in his attempt to clinch.
Harrington wants to clinch.
Riordan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harrington as he avoids it easily.
Harrington tries to clinch but Riordan moves out of range.
Harrington tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riordan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Riordan looks to score with a jab to the body but Harrington is just out of range.
Riordan misses with a straight left.
Harrington moves in looking to clinch but Riordan pushes him off.
Riordan swats away the attempt to clinch by Harrington.
Harrington tries to close the distance and clinch but Riordan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Riordan looks to throw the jab but Harrington is out of range.
Harrington tries to clinch but Riordan is having none of it.
Harrington is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Harrington tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Riordan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Riordan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harrington is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

You can see the frustration on Harrington's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riordan looks up at the clock and then as Harrington takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Riordan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Riordan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

It looks like Chris Harrington has been cut.
Riordan scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Harrington is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Riordan can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy Riordan!
