Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mister Spock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spock's entrance music is Rolling Stones- 2,000 Light Years From Home. A fine choice. Cross is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The American Dream Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spock throws a head kick that misses.
Spock misses with an uppercut.

and Cross counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cross.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cross throws an elbow that misses. Spock uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cross's guard. Nice move by Spock!
Cross is trying to keep Spock in close.
Spock tries to free his leg and advance position but Cross is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee asks Spock politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Spock prefers to stall for the moment though.

Spock is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Spock has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Spock's corner calls for a 1-2. Spock obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cross is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spock sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Cross seems to have recovered his senses.

Cross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spock works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cross throws a strike but Spock rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but David Cross will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cross throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cross moves forwards but Spock connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Spock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Cross counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cross throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A jab lands there for Cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cross connects with a right hand. Spock shakes it off.
Cross pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Cross stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Spock.
Spock walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cross checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Spock has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Spock there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cross scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Cross cracks Spock with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A left and a right from Spock both land. Nice combination.
Spock swings for the body but Cross moves out of range.
Cross connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Cross takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Spock counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Spock counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Spock swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cross punishes Spock's body with a nice straight punch.
Cross with a hook.
Cross fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Cross misses with a wild body shot.
Cross tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spock was well out of range. Poor timing from Cross.
Cross uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spock.
Cross sizes up Spock with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Spock on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Spock cracks the inside of Cross's front leg.
Cross shoots in looking for a takedown but Spock manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cross's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Spock throws a lazy uppercut
and Cross counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Cross on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Spock takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
David Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Donk. Spock catches Cross right on the button with a cross.
Cross walks into a stiff left hand from Spock.
Cross stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cross smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Spock moves out of range of the leg kick from Cross.

David Cross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cross fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spock manages to avoid it.

Cross thows a leg kick but Spock checks it
and Spock makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
No joy there for Cross, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Spock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Cross misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Cross takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A punch lands to the side of Spock 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cross swings for the body but Spock moves out of range.
David Cross seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A jab from Cross misses.
BOOM! Spock lands a beautiful left hook that drops Cross. Cross tries to recover but Spock is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Cross lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mister Spock!
