Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin's entrance music is The Claw. A fine choice. Scott comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bang - By Barry Scott kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A solid leg kick lands there for Scott.
Scott checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Griffin is looking to slow Scott down with leg kicks.
Griffin scores with a hook to the body. Scott takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Griffin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Griffin slips a jab from Scott.
Scott throws a body punch but Griffin moves out of range.
Scott uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Griffin has time to react.

Griffin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Scott.
Crunch! Griffin slams his shin into Scott's torso.

Griffin cracks Scott with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Scott throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Griffin throws a right and a left that both miss.

Griffin wants to clinch up but Scott keeps it at a distance.

Scott closes this distance looking for a takedown but Griffin circles away.
Griffin throws a leg kick which misses Scott's front leg but catches the back leg as Scott tries to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Griffin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scott has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scott and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Griffin tries to land a front kick but Scott steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Griffin throws a solid leg kick but Scott takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Griffin.

Scott on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Griffin wants to clinch up but Scott keeps it at a distance.

Griffin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Griffin attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Scott's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Scott throws a jab when Griffin was well out of range.
Scott lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Griffin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Scott has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Scott on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Griffin. Griffin obviously looking to wear him down.
Griffin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Scott.
Scott will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Griffin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Scott stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
