Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Legate Lanius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hogan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hogan showed some decent athleticism there.

Lanius is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hogan sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lanius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lanius wants to stand but Hogan has his arm trapped.

Lanius swings around for an armbar but Hogan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lanius's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lanius seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hogan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lanius looking to break Hogan's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hogan remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lanius will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Lanius has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hogan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Lanius will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This has been an exciting period of action!
