Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdonald takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mcdonald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tung pinned against the cage. Tung gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mcdonald takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Danny Mcdonald has been cut.

Mcdonald closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcdonald lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Tung is looking to stand back up but Mcdonald counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tung.
Tung is trying to stand up here but Mcdonald is controlling him well.

Mcdonald looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tung with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tung tries to kick Mcdonald off but Mcdonald keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Mcdonald is nestled in close to Tung, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Tung is not content to let Mcdonald control the position.
Mcdonald uses his free foot to push down on Tung's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tung.

Tung wants to hold on but Mcdonald pushes him away.
Tung knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mcdonald on the ground.

Tung takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Mcdonald's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

After winning the bout, Danny Mcdonald thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
