I think Laitinen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Worthy has chosen Drop the world as his entrance music. Ilkka Laitinen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marlon Worthy's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laitinen lands with a thumping leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Laitinen misses the target.

and Worthy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Worthy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laitinen.
Worthy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Laitinen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Worthy cracks Laitinen with a good jab.
Laitinen looks to land a body kick but Worthy moved away.
Worthy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Laitinen manages to avoid it.
Worthy scores with a one two! Laitinen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Laitinen drops his hands momentarily and Worthy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Worthy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Laitinen was well out of range. Poor timing from Worthy.
Worthy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Worthy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Laitinen.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Worthy cracks Laitinen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Laitinen throws a solid leg kick but Worthy takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Laitinen.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Worthy throws a push kick but Laitinen slaps the foot to one side.
Worthy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Laitinen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Worthy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Worthy scores with a nice strike.
Worthy misses with an uppercut. Laitinen saw that one coming.
Worthy throws a big shot that misses.

Worthy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Worthy in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Laitinen throws a lazy right hand but Worthy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Worthy drops Laitinen with a beautiful combination! Laitinen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Worthy is looking for the KO!

Worthy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Laitinen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oh Laitinen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Worthy sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Laitinen's defenses. It connects perfectly with Laitinen's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
