Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Aconte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Young will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aconte takes one to the side of the head.
Young scores with a kick to the midsection.
Young throws a head kick that half lands.
Young tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Aconte is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Young's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Aconte postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Young looks a forlorn figure.

You get the feeling that Young really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Aconte is landing with some decent strikes but Young is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Aconte goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Young turns into him and now he's in Aconte's guard.
Aconte bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Young's guard.

Aconte stands up over Young, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Young throws Aconte to one side and escapes!
A jab lands there for Young.

Aconte closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A nice inside leg kick there by Aconte. That's going to slow Young down.

Aconte shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Young as he jumps to the side.

Aconte tries to score a power double leg takedown but Young sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aconte somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Magnus Aconte. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Young tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Young has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Young decides to stand up, so the ref orders Aconte to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Young is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aconte defends well.

Aconte seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Young is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
