Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jong Un (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Soul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jong Un might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DPRKorean National Anthem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kim Jong Un!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dark Soul!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soul goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Kim Jong Un has been cut.

Jong Un tries to score a power double leg takedown but Soul sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jong Un somewhat.
Soul connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jong Un shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Soul as he avoids it easily.
Jong Un is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Soul.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Soul enables Jong Un to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Soul manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Soul looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Jong Un passes Soul's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Soul is trying to stand.
Soul keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Jong Un thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Soul's head.

Jong Un moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Soul.

Jong Un is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Soul will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Soul is trying to get back to half guard.

Jong Un is trying to get an arm triangle but Soul is defending well.
Soul can't do much from the bottom here.

Jong Un tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jong Un has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Soul tries to buck Jong Un off but Jong Un is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Soul's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jong Un wants to lay and pray for a moment but Soul keeps working.
Soul is trying to get back to half guard.
Soul is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Soul is not content to let Jong Un control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Soul is being controlled here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Soul stalks Jong Un and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jong Un's face. Jong Un staggers backwards, shaken.
No luck for Jong Un with that takedown attempt.
Jong Un takes a jab right on the kisser.
Soul fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Soul lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jong Un at a distance.
Dark Soul seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Soul connects with a body shot.
Jab, jab by Soul - just one landing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Soul scores with a jab. Jong Un acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jong Un will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Soul misses with a two punch combination.
Soul throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jong Un stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Soul throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jong Un looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Soul lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Soul lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jong Un circles away quickly and effectively.
Jong Un takes one to the chin there.
Soul throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No luck for Jong Un with that takedown attempt.
Nice shot lands for Soul.
Soul connects with a right hand. Jong Un shakes it off.

Dark Soul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jong Un takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Soul lands with a nice body punch.
Soul has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

No luck for Jong Un with that takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jong Un is defended easily by Soul.
Jong Un looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Soul's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jong Un under the eye.

Jong Un is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Soul.

Jong Un clinches up with Soul and pushes him back against the cage.
Jong Un has a couple of punches blocked by Soul.
Soul wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jong Un's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Soul is trying to break free.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jong Un drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jong Un fails to pull the fight into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dark Soul showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Soul's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jong Un under the eye.
Soul misses with a wild body shot.
Soul lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Soul lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Jong Un can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Soul and Jong Un drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Soul.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dark Soul!
A relieved looking Dark Soul thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
