Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isiah Acer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giampaolo Pietravallo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Acer's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mad at Gravity- Burn. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Giampaolo Pietravallo!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Acer feints and as Pietravallo raises his hands in defense, Acer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Acer throws a big elbow that misses.
Pietravallo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Acer is looking to work some ground and pound but Pietravallo has wrist control.
Pietravallo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Acer.
Pietravallo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Acer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Acer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pietravallo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pietravallo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pietravallo seems keen to control Acer's posture.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Giampaolo Pietravallo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Acer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Pietravallo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Acer has hold of Pietravallo's hands but Pietravallo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Acer regains full guard. Nicely done.

Acer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Acer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pietravallo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Acer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pietravallo is nestled in close to Acer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Pietravallo thows a huge punch but Acer dodges it nicely.
Pietravallo is pressing down on Acer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Acer is holding on for now.

Pietravallo wants to free his trapped foot but Acer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Acer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Acer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pietravallo!

Acer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pietravallo is looking to escape.

Acer goes for an armbar but Pietravallo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pietravallo.

Acer looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pietravallo is defending well. Acer quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pietravallo has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Acer celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Isiah Acer!
