Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Gabriel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimshaw shoots in for a double leg but Gabriel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Grimshaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Grimshaw avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Gabriel shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Gabriel is trying to control the action in half guard but Grimshaw is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gabriel wants to pass the guard but Grimshaw is defending well.
Gabriel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Grimshaw has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gabriel is working away from the top position though.
Gabriel thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Grimshaw's head.

Grimshaw regains full guard. Nicely done.

Grimshaw has his foot on Gabriel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gabriel works his way back into a safe position though.
Gabriel throws a big right hand that misses.
Gabriel tries to free his leg and advance position but Grimshaw is retaining full guard.

Gabriel has gone for a leg lock! Grimshaw slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gabriel's guard.
Gabriel wants to sweep here but Grimshaw controlling him for the moment.

Gabriel is looking for a triangle but Grimshaw pushes his legs off easily.
