PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pantalei Simeonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matius Skelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simeonov comes to the cage accompanied by Tonita - Ludogorets 1999 Hymn. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skelius has a takedown stuffed.
Simeonov fails to land the takedown.
Skelius defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Simeonov.
Skelius throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Skelius manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Simeonov on his heels. He'll look to pass Simeonov's guard now, I'm sure.
Simeonov wants to stand and escape but Skelius is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skelius seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Pantalei Simeonov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Simeonov fails with a takedown attempt.

Skelius looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Simeonov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Skelius is looking for a sweep. Simeonov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
