Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcos Kelvin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Brandao!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandao drops Kelvin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kelvin looks back up at him and smiles so Brandao waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Marcos Kelvin has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kelvin gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Brandao gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kelvin is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Brandao!
A determined Diego Brandao didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
