The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brothers has closed the distance and engaged Fireplug in a clinch.
Brothers gets through Fireplug's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Brothers has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fireplug uses from the top position.

Fireplug jumps guard but Brothers turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Diaz Brothers has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fireplug is bucking up trying to escape but Brothers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fireplug is desperately trying to improve his position but Brothers has a good base and remains in mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fireplug knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brothers on the ground.

Brothers is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fireplug can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Diaz Brothers wasn't active enough on the ground.

Let's hope that Brothers has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

In his post fight interview, Diaz Brothers started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
