Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ron Lemieux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Huang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lemieux's entrance music is Sliwa. A fine choice. Huang comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Special Agent Huang kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! George Huang struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lemieux swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Huang shoots in looking for a takedown but Lemieux manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Huang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lemieux lands a jab to Huang's midsection.
Huang looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lemieux throws a head kick that Huang semi-blocks.
Huang closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lemieux dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Lemieux cracks Huang with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The fighters circle momentarily. Huang darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Huang is defended easily by Lemieux.

Lemieux loads up on a big right hand but Huang slips the punch.

Huang moves in looking to clinch but Lemieux pushes him off.

Huang takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Lemieux really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Huang lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Huang.

Huang closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lemieux quickly recovers to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Huang must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Huang got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lemieux has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Huang has managed to get both his arms back between Lemieux's legs - danger averted.
Lemieux wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
