The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kermodian lands with a nice body kick.
Kermodian misses with a leg kick
and Kumsaloti counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kumsaloti connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kumsaloti throws a shot from downtown. Kermodian moves away and avoids it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kermodian checks a leg kick.
Kermodian throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kumsaloti sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kumsaloti throws an overhand right that lands on Kermodian's shoulder, as Kermodian tries to avoid the shot.
Kermodian will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kermodian will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kermodian misses with a head kick.
Kermodian misses with a wild body shot.
Kumsaloti works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kermodian throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kumsaloti.
Kumsaloti throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kumsaloti fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kermodian tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kumsaloti manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kermodian ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kumsaloti moves away.
Kermodian throws a push kick but Kumsaloti slaps the foot to one side.
Kumsaloti displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kermodian.

Manny Kumsaloti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Kermodian.

Kermodian loads up on a big right hand but Kumsaloti slips the punch.
Kermodian takes one to the side of the head.
Kermodian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kumsaloti feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kermodian sprawling to the canvas! Kermodian rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kumsaloti finish him?!

Kermodian is rocked!
Kermodian glances at the clock... BAM! Kumsaloti nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Kermodian crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Kermodian is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
