Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glover Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amauro Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira has chosen Ain't no Sunshine as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Nogueira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nogueira shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nogueira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nogueira swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Nogueira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nogueira drives through with a takedown into Silva's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nogueira has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nogueira wants to take Silva's back but he can't do it this time.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nogueira goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Silva is on top in guard.
Nogueira manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Nogueira working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Silva looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Nogueira! Submission of the night perhaps?
