Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hershey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hershey is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Aztechnical. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes shoots in for a takedown but Hershey shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hershey throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hershey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reyes.
Hershey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reyes manages to avoid it.

and Reyes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Reyes throws an elbow that misses. Hershey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Reyes's guard. Nice move by Hershey!

Reyes is landing with some decent strikes but Hershey is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hershey is staying active underneath Reyes, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hershey rushes Reyes and presses him up against the cage.
