Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Blair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Ding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blair comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet by Creed. Ding has chosen Mortal Kombat as his entrance music. Hank Blair has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hank Blair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dick Ding!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blair just misses with a punch to the body.
Blair throws a jab when Ding was well out of range.
Ding moves in looking to clinch but Blair pushes him off.
Ding slips under a jab from Blair.
Blair throws a lazy right hand but Ding sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Blair connects with the punch.


It looks like Dick Ding has been cut.

Ding moves into the clinch.
Blair digs a right hand underneath Ding's ribcage. Ding let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Ding has Blair pressed against the cage, preventing Blair from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ding working Blair over with knees to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blair lands with a right to the head.
Blair dodges an elbow strike from Ding.
Blair fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ding lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Hank Blair has been cut.

Ding tries to break the clinch but Blair is controlling the position.

Hank Blair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fight stays on the outside here - Ding looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Blair lands with a good body shot.
Ding wants to clinch.

Blair throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ding stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Ding tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blair paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ding dives in and grabs Blair's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blair pushes down on Ding's head and hops out.
Ding closes the distance but Blair moves to the side
and Blair counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Ding fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blair avoids it really well and circles away.
Ding moves in looking to clinch but Blair pushes him off.
Blair misses with a right hand
and Ding counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Ding misses with a wild body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Blair. Those never looked like landing.

Blair lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ding circles away quickly and effectively.
Blair lands a glancing blow to the side of Ding's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Blair loads up on a big right hand but Ding slips the punch.

Blair lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ding fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ding tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blair paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blair takes a swing at Ding's ribcage but misses.
Ding's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Blair connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ding scrambles back to his feet.
Ding connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Blair throws an overhand right that lands on Ding's shoulder, as Ding tries to avoid the shot.
Jab, jab by Blair - just one landing.


That has opened up Dick Ding's cut even more.
Ding tries to clinch
and Blair counters with a stiff right hand.


Ding is rocked!
Blair throws the left hand but Ding avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hank Blair dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ding drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Blair gets the underhooks and prevents it.
